Easiest Dress to Skirt Conversion Ever

It is extremely rare for me to find a dress that fits me with the correct shoulder-to-waist measurement or a maxi skirt that actually reaches the floor (at best they end up being ankle length). Sometimes I am able find a long dress that I can convert into a skirt.

On a trip to a thrift store I found an empire waist dress with a ruched waistband (brand new!). I realized I could simply cut the bodice off at the top of the waistband to make a skirt. It literally took about one minute. I was so happy!
